Your library, wherever you study: e-books, e-journals, databases, podcasts, videos and case studies through MyLOFT, on and off campus.
Choose Daystar University, Kenya, then Login with Daystar SSO.
Get started with MyLOFT

Open MyLOFT and choose Daystar
Open the MyLOFT web app in Chrome or Edge and choose Daystar University, Kenya as your institute.

Sign in with Daystar SSO
Select Login with Daystar SSO, sign in with your Daystar email and password, and accept the terms of service. There is no separate MyLOFT password.

Add the browser extension
When MyLOFT prompts you, add its extension and keep it enabled. MyLOFT needs the extension to open subscribed content on publisher websites.

Open a resource from MyLOFT
Browse the databases in MyLOFT and open the e-book, journal or video you need. Links to Daystar’s e-book collection also lead to the MyLOFT sign-in.
On your phone
Install the MyLOFT app, choose Daystar University, Kenya, sign in with Daystar SSO and accept the VPN configuration request. Daystar’s guide says to turn off Private DNS in your phone settings first. Keep the VPN on while you read in the app.
New to the digital library?
All new students are oriented on how to use the digital library. If you missed your orientation, a librarian can walk you through it.
Troubleshooting
Do I need a MyLOFT password?
No. MyLOFT signs you in with your Daystar account through Daystar SSO. If your Daystar email password does not work, contact the ICT helpdesk at ictsupport@daystar.ac.ke. Never send your password to the library or anyone else.
I can sign in, but Daystar’s resources do not appear
Email library@daystar.ac.ke from your Daystar address, and say which resource you were looking for.
A publisher page asks me to sign in or pay
Check that the MyLOFT browser extension is installed, enabled and signed in, then restart your browser and open the resource again from MyLOFT. Some publishers also need third-party cookies, so allow cookies for the site.
A resource still asks me to pay
Do not pay. Send the library the resource name and link, and we will check Daystar’s access to it.
The phone app’s VPN will not connect
Turn off Private DNS in your phone’s network settings, then accept the MyLOFT VPN configuration again.
